LUNCH WITH A FRIEND

I asked my cousin to be discreet about passing me the bankruptcy information. I didn't have to be too cautious because her kids were too preoccupied with playing video games and her husband decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood. We finally had a chance to sit down together and have a nice lunch and an even better heart-to-heart conversation. I had been wanting to talk to her for the longest time. She didn't know we were both in a similar situation. I had overheard her talking about bankruptcy during our last family gathering and I thought that it would be nice to share some of the struggles I've been having lately and offer some support.  I also had so many different questions. I felt like I would be able to learn more about it from someone I trust who has been through it. Sometimes I think those lawyers will just tell you anything and I know my cousin is the type of person who will just be completely straightforward about everything. I was relieved that I wasn't the only one in my family who realized they had to do this and I was even more relieved after talking with her. She was very calm about the whole process which made me feel calm too!
